My name is Colette Doerr and I am proud to serve as your Governor this year. I have been a member of the Thunder Bay Fort City Kinette Club since 2004. I have held a few different positions on the Club Executive; Bulletin Editor, Membership Director, Assistant Treasurer and President, as well as on the District Executive Council; Deputy Governor, Membership Director/Club Support Director and Vice Governor. Last year at National Convention in Halifax I married my best friend PNP James. Even though we have been together for almost 10 years, it is extra special that I can call James my husband. To add to the extra specialness, we were married by a very close Kin friend PNP Carol and in front of so many of our Kin Family members!
I am looking forward to this up-coming year and I promise to do my best and to always have an open door for anyone with concerns or ideas. I cannot do this alone, and I know that with Tim as my Co-Governor, the fantastic team members that have agreed to stand with us and the many great members of this district, we will have another successful year in District Two! We are Better 2gether!!!
My name is Tim Babcock and I’m excited to serve as your Governor this year. When I’m not busy with Kin, I like to play hockey in the winter, slo-pitch and camp with my wife Hollee and three dogs in the summer, and I’m also on Flin Flon City Council. I’ve been a member of the Flin Flon Kinsmen Club since 2010. Being a member of Kin has allowed me to meet so many people across our great district and across our country, and I can’t wait for all adventures we are going to have together this year. Most of us join Kin for the service and stay for the fellowship. One of my personal goals this year is to visit every Zone and meet someone from every club. The work that we do in our communities is important, and I hope that we can celebrate together at District Convention in May.
If you’ve never been to an event outside of your club, I would like to encourage you to take a chance and attend a Zone or District event this year. Or, find a nearby club and offer to volunteer at one of their events. I promise you, once you take that first step; you will be hooked like me and will never look back.

When I’m not busy with Kin, Tim and I like to spend time with friends or with our ‘zoo’, a.k.a our pups, at the campground, there is never a dull moment with 3 dogs in tow. I also play slo-pitch in the summer and sit on the local SPCA board. This summer Tim and I were fortunate enough to be able to move into a new home which has been a busy but exciting chapter.
I consider myself lucky that I am able to be a part of this wonderful District team and am looking forward to the year ahead.
